The strikeout you take is smarter than the hit you chase. That sentence goes against everything a hitter feels in the moment. In the box, chasing is winning — swinging hard at something feels like attack, feels like you want it. Taking a pitch feels like giving up. But here’s the uncomfortable truth: your best…
Coach Trev’s hitting tip: hand speed wins because it creates backspin and the fastest path through the zone. Build extension with the knob-short drill.
You squared it up and it still went into the dirt. Or it climbed high and died in the outfield. That is a bat path problem, not a launch angle problem. Here is the cue, the three-round drill, and a number to retest.
Balls that die on the warning track are usually not a strength problem. They are a swing that stopped at the baseball. Here is the extension and finish fix, three drill rounds, and a number to retest in two weeks.
